MH bio picMichael Higbe is a potter who started at Wild Ginger Studios. His world turned upside down after taking a workshop with Sandi Pierantozzi where he could relate his natural sense of color, texture and design with his sewing skills.  He spent years cultivating his style and designs based out of his love of nature, his native Jacksonville heritage and his family. He also has taken workshops with Diana Fayt and Forrest Lesch-Middleton learning about slip application, screen printing on ceramics, and Mishima techniques. Michael represented FSCJ at NCECA in Tampa, Florida back in 2011. He also is a showing member of the Northeast Florida Sculptor’s Group and the Art Guild of Orange Park.
